Blackney Passage is the connecting link between the world famous killer whale watching areas of Johnstone Strait and Blackfish Sound. Sports and commercial interests have found what the whales discovered years ago; there is great fishing here! As a result, seiners, gillnetters, sports and commercial fishermen are seen side by side with dolphins and whales, rubbing elbows, so to speak, because of the strong tidal currents and difficulty in maneuvering.
